What’s so refreshing is that it’s great to see a somewhat “smaller” screen offer such a high end range. Even though I mentioned the screen being small, it’s not so small either as the 42” display can more than easily accommodate the latest visuals giving you a stunning picture. It can easily work as a home theater system without a problem and you’ll barely notice the size once you start seeing how impressive the images are when they are displayed on the plasma.

The image output itself is excellent overall, however there are some minor complaints regarding the sometimes inaccurate gamma tracking. Just like the Panasonic VT20 3DTV it is capable of producing the deepest blacks compared to any of the flat screen TVs on sale in the market today. In addition to that you also get fantastic greyscale tracking alongside with crisp motion and accurate color.

There are not that many flaws when it comes to this plasma. However, most users commented on the price. The fact is, the model is not the cheapest on the market and there are other competitor products that are less burdensome on your wallet. Having said that though, they do not have the same capabilities and features, and are at best a distant second when put by side in direct comparison.
There are some questions left regarding whether or not it is really worth paying such a high price for a 42” display screen. However, that decision is really up to the individual buyer. In our opinion, we’re glad to see that Panasonic is not neglecting this segment of the market and is still producing premium display sets at this screen size. Not considering the cost and looking at the components that come along with the standard package, it is without a doubt one of the best HDTVs on sale today and is probably one of the best options that you can get.
